With the demand for anti-spyware tools continuously on the risebecause of the constant release of new and more invasive spywarescams, computer users may find themselves falling victim tomalicious software downloads while searching for the rightspyware removal tool. Several removal software programshave been identified as fakes, but not before many computerusers were drawn into the trap. Spyware Assassin claimed to be a removal tool releasedby MaxTheater but underneath the claims to remove maliciousspyware, the program was found to be a fake. An even sneakier scam was put on by SeismicEntertainment Productions who used tactics to infect user’scomputers with actual and then advised those users topurchase Spy Wiper or Spy Deleter to remove the spyware. Any ofthese fake software programs are obvious reasons why computerusers must learn to research the credibility and background of aprogram before purchasing
or downloading.
